Walking and activities holiday specialist HF Holidays is offering a new tour to the Tatras, a mountain range that forms a natural border between Slovakia and Poland.
The seven-night tour, called ‘Summits & Tarns’, will see clients led by a guide as they explore trails through the Tatras, known for its many mountain ridges and panoramas, spectacular tarns, quaint villages and endless stretches of diverse landscapes.
Highlights will include exploring three wild and mountainous national parks in five days, riding on electric trains to access the high Tatras region, drifting on wooden rafts through the longest canyon in middle Europe on the river Dunajec and enjoying the hospitality of the local Goral peoples and discovering their culture and traditions. Dining options include a traditional folklore Slovak restaurant, with live gypsy music.
Along the way they can look out for animals such as the Tatra Chamois, red deer, fox and, if on a guided tour of the areas they inhabit, brown bear.
