Kežmarok can be called the unique pearl of the Tatras – the small town is a treasure trove of the past centuries´ architecture.

The streets of Kežmarok hide many sights – evangelical seminary with a library of 150 000 books, the Basilica of the Holy Cross, the renaissance belfry, the Castle – the only completely preserved castle of the Spiš region, a wooden articular church included in the UNESCO world heritage list (there are only 5 churches of this kind in the whole Central Europe).

The town has always been the centre of education in the region.
